EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

    Accelerated information processing

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) lately also referred to as “Accelerated information processing “ has been a preferred therapy for trauma, anxiety and stress. Powerful not only major trauma —such as war, natural disasters, rape and victims of violent crime— it’s helpful also for "small" traumas: events that happen in everyone's lives: though apparently not dramatic, these events still hurt us, lower our self-confidence and self-worth; they might narrow and limit our views of ourselves and the world and leave us stuck with negative beliefs about ourselves.

EMDR is widely used to treat the following problems:

    • depression and/or anxiety
    • childhood trauma
    • physical abuse
    • sexual abuse
    • obsessive-compulsive disorders
    • addiction
    • complicated grief

    • episodic rage
    • panic attacks
    • low self-esteem
    • relationship problems
    • performance anxiety and creativity blocks
    • insomnia
    • stress
