Body-oriented psychotherapyBody-oriented psychotherapy views the individual as a mind/body unit. It integrates the contributions of traditional humanistic psychotherapy with body awareness. While some body-oriented psychotherapy involves working on the body directly in an attempt to help release emotional issues and conflicts, my present approach cultivates body awareness without necessarily touching. I do this through a variety of emotional exercises and techniques that facilitate overcome stagnation that inhibit emotional development and self- actualization. It is an active therapy in which I work with you to help release blocked energy and increase self awarness. As a result you should experience a greater sense of well being, a greater capacity to feel and an enhanced ability to express feelings. |
